Autumn

As Autumn approaches the nights get shorter and I replace the curtains in our living room with fully lined rust plaid curtains. We placed the rod right up to the ceiling to accentuate the 9 foot drop. A clearance at Bed Bath and Beyond at $5 a panel. This was a 90% reduction and only cost $20 for the 4 panels I used. The curtains in the bedroom were also lined and on sale. One curtain was 96’ long so I used the extra material to cover a cushion for the bed and the small chair. The large taupe vase, and  darker throw on the chair add a little warmth as does the small picture between the windows. The other picture is taken from a letter our mum wrote to our dad when they were courting in the forties. Bathroom color theme continues in brown/taupe with another Goines poster. My last pictures are first a group of old family  pictures – most of which I framed by our front door. Also pictures of our walk through from bedroom to bathroom. All hung on Command hooks.
