Arrangements
Ever since a child growing up in Scotland I have always loved flowers. Dad was an avid gardener and I remember the sweet smell of honeysuckle, climbing roses and sweet williams. Even now if I close my eyes and smell the earthy tones of the bright yellow daffodils I am transported back to the garden of my childhood. It was so nice to be able to go out and pick flowers for the house or to make a bouquet every year for my primary school teacher on the last day of school. Now in America with no garden I rely on Trader Joe’s to bring the flowers to my home. On every occasion I love flowers on the table and here are a few arrangements. I also had the pleasure of making arrangements for a dear lady Sadie Stepner for her 100th birthday. I would love to have an abundance of money to buy whatever flowers I wished but my staples are alstroemeria, mums, wax flower, roses and carnations with added greens at Christmas.
