This year our theme was Paris and we also had a year of great food orientated activities.
The students in our dorm at one time or another were Carolan N., Mossy P H., Maria I., Jules B., Nadine K., Sienna R., Tias V., Izzy R., Sara L., Natasha B., Sophie A., Violet M., Megan K.,and Isabelle F.  Mr Reid jamming with Maria and a great day out apple picking with Ruby. Maria enjoys her mug cake with Megan whereas Violet, Jules and Sophie prefer ice cream. Nadine – from Russia – carves her first pumpkin. Halloween and Elfies were still highlights in the dorm. I was telling our students about filling shoeboxes with gifts for underprivileged children through an organization that we give to – they said “Let’s do it” and before I knew it the dorm had collected a bunch of things to fill two boxes. Non Nobis Solum in action! I loved our dorm flag with the symbols and motto meaning “Aspire always.” Ruby was the Best at nail painting – perhaps her art training while a student at WHS. My pictures get a little out of sequence but memorable moments were the students writing well wishes to Ruby and Vlad when they got married. Also an incredible wedding dress made of cup cakes to share with the dorm parents that was made by Mr Grant’s wife. The New Cottage Bunny is still here. A retro brunch, great meal cooked by many and a requested New Cottage reunion dinner with “our boys.” Everyone looked great for Prom and also The Grants. The Grants were a really nice couple that we got to know personally. They left after a year to go to Holy Cross College – where Mr Grant also coaches Rugby. For a few years we would have an Easter Lily left at our door, I will never forget the Grants and their two boys. Award night and seniors Carolan and Mossy. MEMORIES – room-mate dilemmas and switching around. The Ramen noodles under Sienna’s bed and the Iron Bru from her dad. I learn about selfies and have my first with Sienna. Natasha and the biggest bunch of blue hydrangeas I have ever seen. Violet’s crazy makeup – her laughter and Mr R saying “Violet you need a sedative.” Also her incredible presentation when she switched majors to WFMA. Nadine, Megan and Maria, also Jules, Sophie and Tias and close friendships – both sets filled with sharing, listening, food and laughter. Sara visiting George the monkey. Carolan and Mossy another great friendship – ballet, French, a love of cooking and sharing with others. Izzy  the first student with a sewing machine. She shared the same joy with me of making our Halloween costumes. Isabelle – she introduced me to Command hooks and my life has never been the same – forever grateful! Switching from boys to girls the past few years I had lost the pleasure of seeing many students grow to be seniors in our dorm. I did however see their senior pages and see them graduate – too many to mention this year. Great senior superlatives for former students Graham and Sam. This year was a year of great food and quality friendships.
