Tess B., Drew D., Carolan N., Antonia Da S., Bella R., Helli F.,Sylvie M.,Elissa A., Jin Stil C., Min Seong K., Ciara W and Sumil Y. were our students this year. We changed the pictures, made new window toppers and put lavender in the bathroom. Started the year with Antonia’s birthday and I still have the felted squirrel she made. Loved the Thanksgiving activity in the Dining Hall. Teas with hats for servers and guests. Cute idea for the window painting. The storm of 2013 with 26″ of snow. Sheila helped out shoveling snow for the maintenance. The next year a transformer was put in – right in front of our window – so we would have heat and light in a power cut. A surprise visit from the Easter bunny. Do you remember the colored plates that the dining hall bought? Ciara and the dorm put on many events for the dorm and community. Pumpkin painting – I got creative with my Ciara picture. Bond night with Mock Cocktails. Making Walnut Mice decorations for the holidays. Tess knitted lots and lots of scarves for the homeless and Antonia made pins/button for charity. Elissa, although a dancer, loved eating lots of scones. Sylvie and Ciara found novel ways to have conversations after quiet time. Tess was accepted to Princeton and her mom sent a cake to the dorm. Sylvie got early acceptance to Mass Art and we made her a fruit and chocolate bowl – her favorite. Many quiet students. A year of adjustments to each other and understanding the need for rules in dorm living but all ended on a good note and everyone learned to have fun.
