Emily OG., Charlotte G., Maria IDL., Nadine K., Lexi X., Chrystal C., Arden C., Sofia BU,. Sandy M., Fair S., Kiara B,.and Rachel W., were our students this year. Getting used to being apart from the dorm and sharing duty three ways rather than two. Lots more time to see my family both here in Natick and overseas. The students had multiple activities, Margaret made potpourri with the students. Seen here is Runyu with the finished product. Mr Reid would always have discussions about the map! Pumpkin making with Ruby and Nadine who was now an expert. She did a great job with her acting and we would enjoy our chats but not the fish! Loved seeing Sandy’s watercolors and loved to chat over tea. Maria loved scones and we loved seeing her turn into a wonderful Visual artist. Very good at ceramics also – I still have one of her bowls. Margaret and Ruby helped out with coverage to allow Mr Reid and I to celebrate our Anniversary in Scotland. We renewed our vows at the church in which we were married in 1966. Many friends and relatives celebrated with us with Afternoon Tea overlooking the golf course at Carnoustie. The students once again participated in Wndow Painting  and won first place. Jason rehearsed with the students for the Boars Head skit. Mr Viva had reinstated the Medieval Theme at Boars Head with skits etc., similar to our first years at WHS. After dinner the school would have entertainment in the Keiter Center.  Elfies were celebrated once again and Lexi had a good laugh. Ruby, Margaret and I combined our baking skills to make “Seasons Greetings” bags of cookies for maintenance, housekeeping and food services staff. Students returned to snow days and in the snow our home seemed a long way from the dorm! The dorm celebrated Three Kings Day with cake and drinks, Chrystal found “Baby Jesus.” Another snow day on Valentine’s weekend and students were campused. Robert made a cake for Maria and students often went to bake at Ruby’s. They also loved Gloria the cat. Rachel. Sofia, Chrystal and Emily were always ready for a laugh or were also ready to watch scary movies or go to Orange Theory. Sandy made some great dumplings – from scratch – for our Lunar New Year Celebrations. The large copper beach which our children played around for many years had to be cut down. Arden was a quiet Visual Artist and was always drawing horses. Charlotte was preparing her portfolio and sculptures were everywhere. Loved the photo of Rachel teaching Charlotte. Last farewells together, prom and graduation. Booklets made for four special graduates. The majority of our dorm was from other cultures but were brought together with fun, friendships and food and a final year for our 3 year students Maria and Nadine. A quote from Carolan N. 2015 “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”
