Bryce McA., Collin R., Logan H., Carmine B., Graham C., Sam F., Anthony R., Yan Diego W., Kevin L., Patrick K., Chris R B., and Shawn V. were our fun loving students this year who got along well with each other and frequented the common room together. Logan was proceeded by his double bass and in the summer the transformer arrived, Pumpkins and Applefest with Ruby and cupcakes. Ruby and mom dressed for Halloween. The bear suit arrived and appeared – everywhere! Sheila returns for Christmas and was “An Elf for a night” delivering treats for everyone. Tess B., comes back for the Nutcracker – and some tea. Sam gives Mr Reid ORANGE duct (duck) tape – what is it with guys and a love of this tape! We had a Scottish night and Graham wears a kilt. Jan Diego makes “mug cakes” with Patrick. Our New Cottage girls return for a Valentine’s Tea. The school replaces very well used furniture. Great time at New Cottage Awards night. MEMORIES – Graham making strawberry tea! The “tent” in his room. Many planned activities including “Capture the Flag.” Captain Cook and the salute from Mr R. “I didn’t know that you played the violin Graham.” Logan – the double bed in the single room, the special white cup and of course COFFEE. Sam and his video games, imaginative layout of furniture and zany sense of humor. Patrick – very good friend to many. Do you know how to whisper? Anthony – great roommate and the capacity to bring people together – good listener. Artist and sports fan. Yan Diego – Mr Personality – always smiling and very helpful. Ruby’s conversations in Spanish. Bryce – Harry Potter fan – lots of wands. Love of Forensic science and many discussions. Shawn – Moxie – pizza – chicken wings. Everything Brian Cranston. Good writer – loved a piece he wrote at the end of the year. Carmine – perfect closet – not afraid of pastels – his reaction to my speech for Graham at awards night – Priceless! Collin – tidy room and the most amazing evening of classical music that he organized – never seen the like of that – amazing. Kevin – experimental chef – the knife and the band aid – bananas – discussions about food. Chris – great viola player – welcomed by all and when he left early for a musical engagement the students gave him a great send off. Obviously a great impact to remember all these things about these students. As Mr Reid said – a lot of character.
